The New York metro plays at every level: studio lessons in Manhattan (Manhattan Mandarin), instructors across Westchester and New Jersey, and league play from Greenwich to Long Island. Most listings here teach beginners, so a first lesson is easy to find on either side of the city.
Long Island plays league mahjong through Main Line Mahjong chapters in Cold Spring Harbor and Westhampton. In Fairfield County, the Greenwich Mahjong Club runs lessons and a league, and instructors in Mamaroneck and Putnam Valley teach privately and in groups.
These are the New York City area instructors, studios, and clubs we have verified from their own public pages so far. New to the game? The free American Mahjong trainers teach the tiles and the Charleston before your first lesson.

Every listing here was compiled from the business or club's own public page, and the page we used is linked as the source on each listing. We do not publish ratings, reviews, or prices unless the business publishes them itself. A listing is not an endorsement, and this directory does not vet teaching quality. Check the business's own page for current schedules and details before you go.
Listings marked "not yet claimed" were added from public information and have not been confirmed by the business. Owners can claim, correct, or remove a listing at any time through the claim page; we act on corrections and removals within two business days.
