Parlor and Play · American Mahjong · Find a Teacher or Club · San Francisco Bay Area
Directory · California
The Bay Area offers both halves of the game: lessons from instructors in San Francisco, Danville, and Napa, and regular club play in San Francisco, Palo Alto, and Marin. Every listing below was verified from the organization or teacher's own page.
For lessons rather than drop-in play, Mahj Social SF teaches groups and privately, an instructor in Danville books group and private lessons, and Mahjong Napa teaches among the wineries. The Mahj Club at the Contemporary Jewish Museum adds lessons in the city.
These are the San Francisco Bay Area area instructors, studios, and clubs we have verified from their own public pages so far. New to the game? The free American Mahjong trainers teach the tiles and the Charleston before your first lesson.

Every listing here was compiled from the business or club's own public page, and the page we used is linked as the source on each listing. We do not publish ratings, reviews, or prices unless the business publishes them itself. A listing is not an endorsement, and this directory does not vet teaching quality. Check the business's own page for current schedules and details before you go.
Listings marked "not yet claimed" were added from public information and have not been confirmed by the business. Owners can claim, correct, or remove a listing at any time through the claim page; we act on corrections and removals within two business days.
