Washington's mahjong map crosses all three jurisdictions: instructors in the District, Chevy Chase, Alexandria, and Chantilly, with group lessons, private lessons, and league play all on offer. Most of these teachers work with beginners.
Mahj With Sam teaches in Alexandria with private lessons and a league, and Ono Brewing Company in Chantilly hosts group lessons at the brewery. District Mahjong covers the city itself with group and private lessons.
These are the Washington DC area instructors, studios, and clubs we have verified from their own public pages so far. New to the game? The free American Mahjong trainers teach the tiles and the Charleston before your first lesson.

Every listing here was compiled from the business or club's own public page, and the page we used is linked as the source on each listing. We do not publish ratings, reviews, or prices unless the business publishes them itself. A listing is not an endorsement, and this directory does not vet teaching quality. Check the business's own page for current schedules and details before you go.
Listings marked "not yet claimed" were added from public information and have not been confirmed by the business. Owners can claim, correct, or remove a listing at any time through the claim page; we act on corrections and removals within two business days.
